GOETTL NAMED PACKERS HIGH SCHOOL COACH OF THE WEEK

The Green Bay Packers announced Tuesday that Denny Goettl of Marshfield High School has been named Green Bay Packers High School Coach of the Week. Goettl is in his first season as the head coach of the Tigers, who are currently riding a 5 game winning streak heading into the State Semi-Finals this Saturday vs. Cedarburg. A native of Stanley, Goettl played football at Stanley-Boyd High School for head coach Jim Brinker. After graduating in 1988, he played quarterback at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. After spending two years playing football in Bologna, Italy, Goettl returned to the United States and was hired as an offensive coordinator at Marshfield High School, before ultimately being promoted to his current position as head coach this year. Goettl is also a math teacher at Marshfield High School.
