U.W WHITEWATER HAS LONGEST WINNING STREAK IN NCAA FOOTBALL

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater now has the longest winning streak in NCAA football. The Division III football team defeated Wis.-Oshkosh 48-21 Saturday, bringing its winning streak to 24. It also helped them win their sixth consecutive Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship and send them to the NCAA playoffs. Whitewater is 9-0 overall and 6-0 in the WIAC this season. Whitewater's six straight league crowns equals the mark set by Wis.-La Crosse between 1949-54.
