AUBURNDALE AND McDONELL ADVANCE TO STATE

The Auburndale Apaches and Chippewa Falls McDonell Macks are heading to the 2010 WIAA State Volleyball Tournament this weekend in Green Bay. Auburndale beat Oconto in the Sectional Final on Saturday night 3-1 while defending Division 4 champion McDonell downed Prentice 3-1 in their Sectional Final. All four 2009 champions are back to defend their titles this year in girls volleyball. The tournament gets underway Thursday at the Resch Center in Green Bay.

DIVISION 1

Quarterfinals: Thursday, Nov. 4

Match-1: Eau Claire North vs. Kaukauna - 4:30 p.m.

Match-2: Madison La Follette vs. Fond du Lac - 4:30 p.m.

Match-3: Muskego vs. Pius XI - 7:30 p.m.

Match-4: Menomonee Falls vs. Burlington - 7:30 p.m.


Semifinals: Friday, Nov. 5

Match-5: Winner of Match #1 vs. Winner of Match #2 - 7 p.m.
