"Disc Golf For The Beginner" Classes To Be Offered

The Neillsville Recreation Department will be offering a “Disc Golf for the Beginner” class at the Neillsville school. The three session event, will be held on Mondays & Wednesday, April 10, 12 & 17 from 6:00-7:30.

The first class will be in the elementary gym, (where there is netting to utilize for practice) with subsequent classes being held inside or at the Schuster Park Disc Golf Course, depending on the weather and skills of participants.

Disc golf terminology will be covered as well as instruction on fore hand, and back hand throws for the driver and mid-range discs. The correct putting technique will be taught as well. Lastly, proper course and player etiquette will be addressed along with disc selection for the various throws.

There is a $5 fee for the class and pre-registration is preferred by calling the Rec. Dept. at 743-2400.

Disc golf enthusiasts Dale & Michelle Pickett will lead the program.

If you do not have a disc, we will provide them for you.
