30th Annual Neillsville Recreation Department Women’s Volleyball Tournament Results

The Neillsville Recreation Department held their “30th Annual” Adult Women’s Tournament on Saturday, March 26th at the Neillsville Fieldhouse.

Fourteen teams competed in the women’s tourney with “Red’s Rebels” of Neillsville being crowned the champion. Members of their team included; Corina Craig, Christina Maley, Mckenzie Trunkel, Mackenzie Raab, Megan Stary & Brooke Schultz.  Placing second was “Volley Partons” of Marshfield, with “Toon Squad” of Onalaska placing third and “Last Minute” from Eau Claire rounding out the top four.  Also competing in the upper bracket were:  “Sugar & Spice“ and “Chips & Queso” of Eau Claire, “Chosen Ones” of Neillsville whose team included;  Jenny Lindner, Jamie Reit, Jessica Brown, Chelsea Opelt, Dani Pfeiffer & Kaia Moseid. Rounding out the upper division was “Net Results” of Augusta. 

In the consolation bracket,  “We Always Get it Up” of Cashton captured the championship with a victory over “Opelt’s Sand & Gravel” of Neillsville. Members of the local squad included:  Tia Gross, Mindy Kren, Carolyn Segerstrom, Caitlin Gregorich, Kat Luchterhand & Jessica Richmond.  Completing the bracket were “Chili Corners” of Chili, “Kinky Sets” of Eau Claire, “One Hit Wonders” of Neillsville whose roster included: Mallory Zickert, Jocelyn Thur, Michelle Kyle, Mindy Schoengarth, Ellie Moseid and Ashlee Dietsler. “Serves of Steel” of Tomah completed the group.

The Rec. Dept. would like to thank the Brickyard Bar & Grill, Neillsville Country Club and Strike Time Lanes who donated complimentary beverages to all the teams.
