WIAA State Cross Country Championships Held

The 108th WIAA Boys Cross Country Championships and the 47th Annual Girls Cross Country Championships took place yesterday. The boys and girls Division 1 championships were held at Arrowhead H.S. in Hartland. The Division 2 meet was held at Colby H.S., and the Division 3 races were held at Maple Grove Venues in West Salem.

Division 1, Oconomowoc won the boys title while Kaukauna won the girls state title. The Marshfield girls team finished 9th.

In Division 2, Aquinas was the champion after the Division 3 championship the last two years. Skylar Drinka of Neillsville/Granton finished 57th and Avery Horvath of Loyal/Greenwood finished 60th.
Winnecone won the girls title while the Colby girls team finished 12th. Savannah Schley of Loyal/Greenwood finished 16th.

Division 3, Sheboygan Area Lutheran won the boys team title while McDonell Central finished 8th. Carl Lundgren of Auburndale finished 13th and Andrew Scheer of Columbus Catholic finished 33rd. Lancaster was the girls team champion. Auburndale finished 8th and Assumption 9th. Jenna Anders of Fall Creek finished 6th and Bailey Peterson of Augusta finished 15th.
