Weather Delay Shortens First Round At State Girls Golf Tournament

Tuesday, October 13th, 2020 -- 6:38 AM

More than a three-hour weather delay caused a shortened round of play at the 2020 Girls Golf Championships at Blackwolf Run in Kohler on Monday.

The first day of the two-day tournament was shortened to nine holes. Play will resume today at 8:30 a.m.

Last year's runner-up Brookfield Central is the Division 1 team leader at +30. Tomah is second at +38. Kylie Walker of Westosha Central is the individual leader in Division 1 after the first day of competition with a 1-over-par 37.

Prescott leads the Division 2 team leaderboard at +42, which is six strokes ahead of two-time defending champion Edgewood. Ashley Stanislawski of Catholic Memorial leads the Division 2 field after the first day. She shot a 4-over-par 40.
