Crass Trained Wrestling Competes At Midwest Iron Man Duals High School Freestyles

After finishing 5th as a team in the Midwest Iron Man Duals High School Folkstyle on Sunday, the Crass-trained wrestling team competed in the Midwest Iron Man Duals High School Freestyles on Monday.Crass Trained wrestling features a number of area wrestlers including Luke Dux and Gunner Hoffmann of Neillsville/Greenwood/Loyal, Brayden Sonnentag, Logan Harrel, Gavin Tegels and Brady Spaeth of Cadott, Ryan Dolezal of Marshfield, Gavin Draxler of Stratford and River Halopka and Carter Grewe of Abbotsford/Colby.
Crass Trained won their first 4 rounds:
35-27 over Thoroughbred Wrestling of Missouri
38-25 over Covid-Red of South Dakota
34-29 over Alaska
55-10 over Spartan Wrestling of South Dakota
They then lost their round 5 match to Legends of Gold of South Dakota 42-18, their consolation match to Mat Sense of Oregon 42-23 and the 7th place match to MWC Gold of Nebraska 32-30 to finish 8th as a team. Legends of Gold finished 1st.
Hoffmann finished 4-3 on the day, Sonnentag 4-2, Harrel 1-6, Tegels 4-3, Dolezal 2-3, Halopka 2-5, Grewe 4-3.
