Neillsville Girls Are Eastern Cloverbelt Champs

The Neillsville girls basketball team clinched the Eastern Cloverbelt title on Friday night with a 64-10 win over Granton.The win, coupled with a loss by Loyal to Columbus Catholic, means the Warriors secured the Eastern Cloverbelt title as they now lead the Greyhounds by two games with 1 left to play. Neillsville at 14-1 in the ECC and 18-2 overall, will wrap up the conference season at Marshfield Columbus on Monday night.
In the win over Granton on Friday, Amelia Trunkel had a career high 17 points, Bella Opelt had 13 points, Alli Schoengarth added 11.
