3rd & 4th Grade Youth Basketball Program To Be Held

The Neillsville Recreation Department will be offering a 3rd & 4th grade boys and girls basketball fundamentals program at the Neillsville schools.Practices will be held on Monday nights from 6:00-7;30 and Wednesday nights from 5:30-7:00 in the elementary gym. (if participants can only attend one night of the practices ….no problem.)
The first practice will be held on Monday, November 18th. Fee for the program is $10, (if you may be having a hard time coming up with the fee, please show up anyway, we want no one to be excluded who would like to participate.)
The program will stress the fundamentals of basketball and will culminate with a performance at halftime of an NHS game in February. Ms. Judy Lindner and Ms. Leeann Henchen, with assistance from members of the NHS girls basketball team will be the lead instructors, although any help from parents or older siblings of the participants is really, really appreciated.
No pre-registration is necessary, registration forms can be picked up at the elementary office or at the gym on the first night of practice. For more information, phone 743-2400.
