Big Second Half Lifts Warriors Over Hawks

Neillsville outscored Owen-Withee 53-22 in the second half on Tuesday night to pull away for an 80-52 Eastern Cloverbelt Boys Basketball victory.

The Warriors trailed 30-27 at the break, led by Alex King with 17 points in the first half, but Neillsville made just 1 of 10 freethrows in the half.

Neillsville came out scoring the second half and quickly took the lead early and never looked back. King finished with a game 36 points, Issac Weiers had 15 points and Braden Trunkel added 13, all in the second half. Neillsville made 14 three pointers in the game, 10 of those in the second half.

Owen-Withee was led by Dylan Tomczak with 21 points and Kevin Kitlica with 19.
