Neillsville Wins Big In Regional Quarterfinal

The Neillsville boys basketball team dominated from start to finish on Tuesday night in their Division 4 Regional Quarterfinal with Chequamegon, winning 69-34.The Warriors got out to a big lead, holding the Screaming Eagles without a field goal for about 5 minutes to start the game. They led 42-16 at the half, led by Braden Trunkel with 13 points. Neillsville made 7 three pointers in the half.
The Warriors made 7 more three's in the second half on their way to the large margin win.
Trunkel led all scorers with 16 points. Alex King added 12. Blake Richard had 9 points to lead Chequamegon.
Neillsville (18-4) will be at Edgar on Friday night for the Regional Semi-Final. You can hear the action live on 92.7 FM WPKG starting at 7 pm.
