Here are some highlights of area wrestlers at the 75th WIAA State Individual Wrestling Tournament at the Kohl Center In Madison from Thursday...Division 1
Sam Mitchell of Marshfield won his quarterfinal match at 182 and will now wrestle in the semi-final on Friday night.
Division 2
Stephen Buchanan of Neillsville/Greenwood/Loyal got a bye in the first round at 182 and will wrestle in the quarterfinal Friday morning. NGL’s Dylan Nielsen lost his match at 145.
Hunter Luepke at 182 and Logan Zschernitz at 285, both of Spencer/Columbus got a bye in the first round and will wrestle in the quarterfinals Friday morning.
Division 3
Stratford had 9 wrestlers in the field ��" 4 of them won their matches on Thursday, while 4 of them received first round byes and will wrestle Friday morning including A.J. Schoenfuss at 126 and Jeremy Schoenherr at 138 who are attempting to become 4-time State Champions.
