Mesar Leads Warriors In Win

Senior Lauren Mesar had a game high 18 points in leading the Neillsville girls basketball team to a 64-47 win over McDonell on Saturday afternoon.

The Warriors led 27-20 at the half and then outscored the Macks by 10 in the second half for the 17 point win. McDonell did connect on seven 3-pointers in the game led by Grace Mrozinski who had 3 of them.

Neillsville finished 23 for 34 from the line, while McDonell was just 6 of 10.

Samantha Cappadora and Ali Schoengarth each had 13 points for Neillsville while McDonell was led by Megan Baier with 14 points.

Neillsville improves to 15-2 on the season while the Macks drop to 15-4.
