Neillsville Boys Improve to 5-0 In ECC

The Neillsville boys basketball team improved to 5-0 in the Eastern Cloverbelt Conference after a 55-51 win over Spencer on Friday night.Neillsville had 3 players in double figures led by Alex King with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 steals, Braden Trunkel had 13 points and 5 steals and Logan Matson added 10 points. Hunter Hand grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Warriors.
Neillsville converted on just 7 of 22 from the free throw line and were 6 for 23 from beyond the 3-point arc.
The Warriors have won 6 in a row to improve to 6-1 overall and 5-0 in the conference. They will host Melrose-Mindoro on Monday at the Fieldhouse.
