Neillsville Girls Beat Gilman On Senior Night

The Neillsville girls basketball team was in control from the beginning on their way to a 49-26 win over the Gilman Pirates in ECC action on Tuesday night.Dani Pfieffer, the Warriors only senior, was honored on Senior night before the game. Dani is a three year letter winner and will attend Winona St. School of Nursing next fall.
Neillsville got out to a big lead in the first half and never looked back, leading 34-10 at the break.
The second half had far less scoring as Gilman actually outscored Neillsville 16-15. The Warriors shot just 3 for 16 from the free throw line including only 2 for 11 in the second half.
Kayla Lis had a game high 10 points to lead the Warriors (12-3, 8-2), Lauren Mesar and Samantha Cappadora each had 7 points. Kyla Schoene had 9 points to lead the Pirates (4-11, 3-8 ).
Neillsville is at Owen-Withee on Friday night.
