Neillsville Girls Down Nekoosa For 8th Straight Win

The Neillsville girls basketball team improved to 9-2 and won their 8th in a row after a 60-26 win over Nekoosa on Friday night.The first half was a close game as Neillsville led 22-17 going into the locker room. But they came out in the second half and out scored the Papermakers 38-9 to pull away for the win. Kayla Lis scored 8 of her 9 points in that second half while Ashlee Diestler scored all of her 9 points in that half.
Mindy Schoengarth led Neillsville with 11 points, Dani Pfieffer added 10. Neillsville was 12 of 21 from the free throw line led by Samantha Cappadora who was 4 for 4.
The Warriors are at Granton on Tuesday.
