Dux Has 38 In Warrior Loss

Neillsville senior guard Michael Dux scored 38 points, but it wasn't enough as the Black River Falls Tigers beat the Warriors 85-68 in the season opener for both teams Tuesday night at the Neillsville Fieldhouse.Jack Roou led a trio of Tigers in double figures with 30 points, 20 of those in the second half. Ethan Anderson had 19 and Nate Parker added 11.
Dux had 21 of his game 38 points in the second half as the Warriors cut a 20 point halftime deficit to 9 late in the second half but the Tigers outscored Neillsville 15-7 to end the game and get the 17 point win. Jake Kunze had 9 points for Neillsville and Tristen Heidemann added 7 off the bench.
Neillsville will host Gilman next Tuesday night while Black River Falls will host Tomah.
