LAST YEAR: Catholic Memorial swept Tomahawk in three sets 25-11, 25-20, 25-20 to win the Division 2 championship.

ABOUT THE DIVISION 2 FIELD: Defending champion Catholic Memorial makes its second consecutive appearance and its eighth overall. The Crusaders have won five championships. They won three consecutive titles from 2009-2011. The Crusaders also won the championship in 2006 and finished runner-up in 2008. They defeated Grafton in three sets in the final of the Sheboygan Falls Sectional to earn the chance to repeat. They are the runners-up in the Classic Eight Conference this season. East Troy returns to the tournament field for the second time in the last three seasons and for the third time overall. The Trojans' won the Division 2 crown in their last appearance in 2013. Their first State Tournament experience came during the pool-play-format era and failed to place in Class B in 1987. The Trojans notched a four-set win over Platteville in the final of the McFarland Sectional. They placed first in the North Division of the Rock Valley Conference in 2015. Altoona is also making its third appearance at State and its first since 2013. The first time the Railroaders qualified was in Class C back in 1976. They failed to win a set in the pool-play format that year. They earn a trip to the Resch Center this year with their four-set victory over Merrill in the Medford Sectional final. They are the champions of the Western Division of the Cloverbelt Conference this fall. Notre Dame has qualified for the State Tournament for the first time following the Tritons' three-set sweep of Winneconne in the Little Chute Sectional final. They are the co-champions in the Fox River Valley Conference with Manitowoc Lincoln this season.

CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES ON FS WISCONSIN: Watch the broadcast of the WIAA State Girls Volleyball finals matches Saturday on FS Wisconsin and the FS Wisconsin alternate channel. The Division 4 and the Division 3 title games will be aired live on FS Wisconsin alternative channel at 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., respectively. The Division 2 and Division 1 championships finals will be aired on the FS Wisconsin at 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., respectively. Check local cable listings for the channel in your area.
