3 WIAC Volleyball Teams In NCAA Div. III Field

Three WIAC teams have received invitations to the 2014 NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship.University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point earned an automatic bid into the 64-team field after winning the WIAC tournament title, while UW-Oshkosh and UW-Whitewater received two of the 20 at-large bids.
This marks the 11th time in the last 12 years that the WIAC has sent at least three teams to the NCAA championship.
The Pointers (29-4) will compete in regional action this weekend hosted by University of St. Thomas (Minn.) in St. Paul. UW-Stevens Point, making its fourth straight NCAA appearance, will face College of St. Benedict (Minn.) (21-9) in the first round.
UW-Oshkosh and UW-Whitewater will travel to Kenosha this weekend for an eight-team regional hosted by Carthage College. The Titans (31-7) will meet Calvin College (Mich.) (27-3) in their first round contest. The Warhawks (26-8) will face Elmhurst College (Ill.) (30-8) in the first round.
