Stanley-Boyd Advances To State Semi-Final

The Stanley-Boyd Oriole football won their 25 game in a row and will now play in the Division 5 State Semi-Final next weekend after a 26-15 win over Eau Claire Regis on Friday night.

After taking the opening kickoff and marched down the field ending with a 15 yard pass from Seth Hause to Alex Lisiecki for a touchdown, giving Stanley-Boyd a 6-0 lead. But it was all Regis after that in the first half.

Regis drove down the field on their first drive and scored on a 1 yard run from Jaxon Brown, the XP failed and it was 6-6. The Ramblers got a 23 yard FG from Richie Misischia midway through the 2nd quarter to put Regis up 9-6 at the half.

As much as the first half was all Regis, the second half was all Stanley-Boyd.

The Orioles got the scoring started with 7:41 to go in the 3rd quarter on a 34 yd scoring strike from Hause to Lisiecki making it a 13-9 Stanley-Boyd lead. Just over 2 minutes later, Hause connected again, this time a 22 yarder to Zach Turner to make it 19-9.

Regis was not done however. On the ensuing kickoff, Jaxon Brown returned it 77 yards for a touchdown and it was 19-15 with 5:14 to go in the 3rd quarter.

Late in the 3rd, Hause would throw his 4th touchdown pass of the game, this time a 3 yard scoring pass to Ben Turner to make it 26-15 heading into the final frame.

Stanley-Boyd turned up the defense in the final quarter and did not allow anymore scoring and the final was 26-15.

Hause finished 9 for 20 for 145 yards with 4 touchdowns and an interception. Ronny Ponick led the ground attack with 15 carries for 56 yards.

Stanley-Boyd's defense held the Ramblers to just 66 yards of offense in the second half.
