Neillsville Baseball Team Improves To 9-0

The Neillsville baseball team is now 9-0 overall and 8-0 in the ECC after an 11-1 win over Colby on Thursday.Colby took an early 1-0 lead but then it was all Neillsville after that. The Warriors scored 2 in their half of the 2nd, two more in the 3rd, one in the 5th and then 6 runs in the sixth.
Nate McDonald went 4 for 4 with 3 runs scored to led the Warriors offense. Nolan Matson was 2 for 5. Neillsville pounded out 13 hits in all.
Neal Matson went the distance on the mound striking out 10, walking 6 and allowing 4 hits.
Neillsville will host Augusta on Friday and then head to Stratford for a round robin tournament on Saturday. They'll face Stratford at 9am and then Rosholt later.
