WIAC Crowns Champions Over The Weekend

WIAC Champions were crowned in baseball, softball and track & field over the weekend...


University of Wisconsin-Whitewater captured the WIAC Softball Championship with a 5-1 victory over UW-La Crosse at Alumni Field on Sunday. The league title for the Warhawks is the ninth in program history and third in the last seven seasons. UW-Whitewater also secured the conference's automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Championship with the victory.

University of Wisconsin-La Crosse won its third consecutive WIAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship after two days of competition at the Oshkosh Sports Complex on Saturday. The first-place finish for the Eagles is the 29th in program listings and seventh in the last eight years. UW-Oshkosh placed second, UW-Eau Claire third.

University of Wisconsin-La Crosse earned its 24th consecutive WIAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championship following two days of competition at the Oshkosh Sports Complex on Saturday.
It?s the 50th league title in program archives. UW-Oshkosh took second, UW-Whitewater third.

University of Wisconsin-Whitewater captured its second straight WIAC baseball title with a 11-9 victory over UW-Superior on Saturday. The league crown for the Warhawks is the 15th in program history and fifth in the last seven seasons. UW-Whitewater will also host the four-team WIAC championship beginning this Friday. The winner of the postseason event earns the conference's automatic bid into the NCAA Division III championship.
