UW-Oshkosh and UW-Whitewater In NCAA Women's Basketball "Sweet 16"

For the first time since 1996, the WIAC will have two teams in the "Sweet 16" of the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship after University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and UW-Whitewater earned second round victories on Saturday.The Titans posted a 72-66 triumph over Washington University (Mo.) at Kolf Sports Center in Oshkosh, while the Warhawks claimed a 87-78 win over University of St. Thomas (Minn.) in St. Paul, Minn.
UW-Oshkosh (26-3) and UW-Whitewater (23-4) will meet in a sectional semifinal contest on March 14 at a site and time to be announced later.
