Neillsville Girls Advance To Regional Final

The Neillsville girls basketball team has advanced to the Regional Final after a 55-30 Regional Semi-final win over Elk Mound on Friday night.The Warriors got out to a big lead in the first quarter and led 13-2 after one. They then outscored the Mounders 17-7 in the second quarter and led 30-9 heading into the locker room at the half.
In the third quarter Elk Mound's Madeline Pitts got hot from beyond the arc as she made 4 three pointers in the quarter and Elk Mound outscored Neillsville 15-12 but the Warriors still led by 18 at 42-24. In the 4th, Neillsville outscored the Mounders 13-6 to make the final 55-30.
Neillsville was led by Jenny Lindner with 11 points and Taylor Gleisner with 10. Elk Mound's Pitts finished with a game high 20 points including six 3 pointers.
Neillsville improves to 23-0 and will now take on Durand who beat West Salem
48-34. The Regional Final on Saturday night is at 7 pm at the Fieldhouse in Neillsville. You can hear it live on 92.7 FM WPKG.
