Chadwick Goes For 4th Conference Title

Thursday, February 6th, 2014 -- 11:04 AM

Neillsville/Greenwood/Loyal travels to Stanley-Boyd this Saturday for the Cloverbelt Conference Wrestling Tournament.

NGL won the regular season dual meet title with a 5-0 record and head coach Scott Bryant hopes the excitement of winning the dual meets and their aggressive style will carry over to the Conference Tournament on Saturday.

Bryant says his young team has been improving all year. Half of the NGL team is comprised of freshman. Coach Bryant said the competition will be good throughout the day as several teams, including NGL, have individuals that are ranked in the state.

Michael Chadwick will be wrestling at 145 and is looking to become just the 3rd wrestler for Neillsville to be a 4-time Conference champ. Jake Rueth is looking to become a three-time champion and some of the freshmen and underclassmen at the lower weights are also looking to place high.

The Cloverbelt Conference Wrestling Tournament gets underway at 10 am on Saturday at Stanley-Boyd high school and you can get results throughout the day at trackwrestling.com.
