UW-Whitewater And Platteville Get Playoff Wins

University of Wisconsin-Platteville and UW-Whitewater posted wins in the first round of the NCAA Division III Football Championship on Saturday.The Pioneers cruised to a 54-20 triumph over Concordia University (Wis.) in Platteville, while the Warhawks beat St. Norbert College (Wis.) 31-7 in Whitewater.
UW-Platteville (10-1) will meet North Central College (Ill.) (11-0) in a second round contest on Nov. 30, while UW-Whitewater (11-0) will face Franklin College (Ind.) (8-3). Both games are scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m.
This marks the first time since 2007 that the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference will have two teams compete in second round games.
