Greenwood/Granton and Owen-Withee will battle for first place in the Cloverwood Conference this Friday night in Greenwood.Both teams come in with identical 4-0 records and in the latest WisSports.net/Coaches Poll, Greenwood/Granton is ranked #5 in Division 7 while Owen-Withee is ranked #6.
Both teams like to run the football, Bryce Niemi leads the Cloverwood in rushing with 550 yards, while Booker Bredlau of G2 is third with 448 yards on the ground. As a team, Greenwood/Granton averages 288.3 yards a game rushing while Owen-Withee averages 265.0 a game.
Neither team will go to the air much. Albert Goerlitz has attempted only 12 passes in 4 games while Booker Bredlau has 22 attempts.
Defensively, both teams are among the best in the Cloverwood. Greenwood/Granton is allowing 219 yards a game while Owen-Withee is allowing just 162 yards a contest. G2 has given up just 18 points so far while the Blackhawks have allowed 37 points defensively.
