Bible Named Packers Coach of the Week

Wednesday, September 12th, 2012 -- 1:21 PM

Jim Bible of Black River Falls High School has been named Green Bay Packers High School Coach of the Week, a program presented by the Wisconsin National Guard.

The Tigers are 3-0 this season so far with their latest win coming over Westby, the defending Coulee Conference champions. The Tigers will look to extend their winning streak this Friday, when they host the Arcadia Raiders.

A Black River Falls, Wis., native, Bible is a 1979 graduate of Black River Falls High School where he played defensive back under Hall of Fame inductee Warren Rosin. After high school, he attended Carroll University where he played defensive back. Bible, a local cranberry farmer, began his coaching career as an assistant at Black River Falls in 1993 before being promoted to head coach in 2001.

The Packers and the Wisconsin National Guard are recognizing one outstanding high school coach as their 'Coach of the Week' winner during the 2012 high school football season. Winners are awarded several items and privileges, including a $2,000 donation to the school's football program from the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin National Guard and the NFL, as well as recognition of the award on Packers.com.
