Investigators Reach Conclusion on Death of Colby Firefighter

-Investigators with the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services have reached a conclusion regarding the death of a Marathon County Fire Fighter.The department said there was a lack of control by fire departments at the scene of a fire which resulted in the death of Jamison Kampmeyer of the Colby Fire Department.
The department continued saying neither the Colby or Abbotsford Departments had control of the effort at the Abby Theatre.
Investigators also said the two departments' commanders did not have a line of communication which left Colby's firefighters unaware of any special hazards that were already encountered.
Kampmeyer was killed in March when the roof of the building collapsed.
