TAYLOR COUNTY TEEN DIES

On Tuesday afternoon the Taylor County Sheriff's Office Dispatch received a 911 report of a one vehicle rollover in the Town of Deer Creek. All four occupants were transported to Memorial Hospital of Taylor County.The 16 year old driver was released from the hospital yesterday morning while two passengers, a 16 year old female and 18 year old male were treated and released. The final passenger, a 17 year old female was transported to Marshfield where she died of her injuries Wednesday evening.
The initial investigation indicates the driver of the single cab pick-up took action avoid a dog in the roadway and lost control, leaving the roadway and rolling over with the truck landing on its top.
The investigation is continuing and it does not appear as though safety belts were being used.
