Next Clark County Vaccination Clinic Thursday, February 4th

Saturday, January 30th, 2021 -- 11:01 AM

The next drive-through vaccination clinic for Clark County will be on Thursday, February 4th located at the Owen Withee-Curtiss Fire District, 100 Matthias Street, Curtiss, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

At this time, vaccines are not available for the general public. Protocols put into place by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services requires administration to be limited to those part of Phase 1A and the start of Phase 1B only.

Phase 1A includes healthcare workers, long-term care residents, EMS personnel, and mortuary workers.  Phase 1B includes fire and police and those 65 and older.  Clark County Health Department has been allotted Moderna vaccines for this week’s clinic.

Appointments are required.  Appointment slots will be limited. CCHD will be administering first and second doses. Second doses are guaranteed to those who receive their first dose.  Appointments may fill-up fast. If appointment slots are already full, please do not call CCHD or their local partners.

The CCHD is not able to keep waiting lists at this time. Once appointments are full, there will not be any more available appointments until the next press release from the CCHD. Press releases will typically occur Friday afternoons.

Please do not arrive more than 15 minutes prior to your appointment time for safety and traffic concerns.  Those who sign up for an appointment are not guaranteed a dose if they do not meet the eligibility criteria.  Please review the available slots. Slots are limited per time period.

Sign up for 1 quantity per person that would like to receive the vaccine.  For example, if there’s a van of 5 individuals. Sign up for a QTY of 5.  Please sign up for a time slot by 8:00am on the day of the drive through clinic. Those who do not sign up by 8:00 am are not guaranteed a vaccine.

Those who are vaccinated will be instructed by staff at the vaccine clinic to automatically schedule an appointment to receive their second vaccine dose. This is not available until arriving at the clinic.  Sign up for appointments here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0c4da5a62aabffc07-2421.

Those who do not have access to the internet may call the CCHD vaccine appointment line at 715-743-5105, select option 9, then select option 9 again starting Friday afternoons at 2pm. High call volumes are expected.  Calling and leaving a message does not guarantee you an appointment.

CCHD encourages those who don't have access to the internet to have a family member or friend help with online registration.  CCHD drive-through COVID-19 vaccination clinics will typically be held most Thursdays for the foreseeable future.

If you do not get an appointment this time, there may be additional opportunities in the weeks to come.  As a reminder, those who are planning on receiving their second dose of a COVID-19 vaccination must receive it from the same manufacturer.

Those who receive the Moderna vaccine must wait 28 days from their first vaccination before  receiving a second dose, and those who receive the Pfizer vaccine must wait at least 21 days.

Those who are eligible to attend will be required to provide proof of employment of affiliation and/or age (ID badge, recent paystub, etc.) and a driver’s license (if applicable), prior to receiving the vaccine.

Please follow the instructions listed online which includes 4 simple steps.  First, review, complete, and print (if able) the fillable COVID-19 Administration Record. Please consult with your  medical provider if needed, prior to receiving the vaccine, for any questions you may have.

Second, review the Moderna Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) Fact Sheet for Recipients.  Third, review the V-Safe Information Handout.  And finally, review the FAQ About COVID-19 Vaccination: What Vaccine Recipients Need to Know.

Please bring the following items with you to the vaccination clinic including a driver’s license (if applicable), proof of employment or affiliation (ID badge, recent paystub, etc.), and completed COVID-19 Administration Record.

Please wear clothing that will easily allow the RN’s to administer the vaccine (t-shirt or a long sleeve that can be easily  rolled to the upper arm to gain access to the deltoid muscle). You will be required to wait in your vehicle for 15 minutes  post-vaccination for monitoring purposes.

EMS will be on-site and assisting with the monitoring. Expect a potential wait  time. Thank you in advance for your patience.  For updates on future clinics, eligibility, and other vaccination options (including local healthcare providers, pharmacies, etc.), please visit the Clark County vaccine website.
