Coronavirus Numbers for January 28th

For local coronavirus numbers:

Clark County has seen a total of 3,073 positive cases, an increase of 5 over the previous day.  Of those, 60 are currently active.  Clark County has had 56 people die from the virus.

The state has seen a total of 536,546 positive cases (an increase of 1,328 over the previous day) and 5,787 deaths, an increase of 34 over the previous day.  Of the positive cases, 23,976, or 4%, have been hospitalized.

More than 74,000 Wisconsin residents have finished their vaccine series for COVID-19, the state’s top health agency indicates Wednesday.  According to preliminary state Department of Health Services’ data, there have been 74,629 Wisconsinites fully vaccinated, or have received both doses of the COVID-19 shot, to date.  DHS notes that 389,240 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine has been administered in all.

In total, Chippewa has seen 6,737 positive and 77 deaths.

Eau Claire has seen 10,454 positive and 97 deaths,

Jackson has seen 2,542 positive and 21 deaths.

Marathon has seen 13,197 positive and 169 deaths.

Taylor has seen 1,744 positive and 20 deaths

And Wood has seen a total of 6,312 positive cases and 66 deaths.
