KIND NOT RULING OUT RUN FOR GOV.

Friday, April 29th, 2011 -- 12:10 PM

U.S. Representative Ron Kind (D-La Crosse) isn't ready to rule himself out as a potential gubernatorial candidate in 2012, should Gov. Scott Walker face a recall election.

"It's heartbreaking to see how bitterly divided our state has become," Kind lamented at a stop in Neillsville Thursday. "I think the Governor did overreach. He (told) a whole group of people, public employees, that not only will you not have a seat at the table, but your voice won't even be heard."

Kind says the ?Wisconsin Way? isn?t to pit groups against one another, but to try to find common ground.

"I think people feel this is another assault on working families," he noted. "We've had declining wages for too long as other expenses are going up."

Kind seriously considered running for Governor last year and seems open to a potential run against Walker, should residents attempt to recall him next year.

"I've always had an interest in running for Governor," Kind said. "We'll wait and see how things develop down the road."
