BURNING PERMITS A CLICK AWAY

Residents in Wisconsin can can get burning permits on-line or by phone.The Department of Natural Resources now has a toll free number (1-888-WIS-BURN), which can be dialed between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. daily. DNR employees can issue the permit over the phone and it will be delivered either by e-mail or traditional mail.
Permits are also now available on the [url=http://dnr.wi.gov/forestry/fire/fire_danger/wis_burn/statecounties.asp]DNR's website[/url]. And they're still available through local ranger stations and fire wardens.
All permits are free and good for one calendar year.
