CENTRAL WI HORSE SALE ENTERS 31ST YEAR

Tuesday, April 12th, 2011 -- 10:04 AM

The Central Wisconsin Horse Sale is now in its 31st year. Billed as the ?Largest Horse Drawn Machinery Sale in the Midwest?, the sale will get underway on Wednesday at the Clark County Fairgrounds in Neillsville. Randy Rieneck of Double R Horse Company and Auction Service is in charge of getting everything ready. He says the advertising part of it is a year-long process, but as far as the sale itself it usually takes about a week to get everything set up and ready to go. It may be called the Central Wisconsin Horse Sale but people are coming from all over the country. According to Rieneck they have people from New Mexico, Montana, North and South Dakota and Michigan. He says they have people from up to 10 states at the sale. The Central Wisconsin Horse Sale will get underway on Wednesday morning at 8:30 am with tack and equipment and other machinery and misc. items - 4 and sometimes 5 rings going throughout the day. Thursday's sale will include new and used horse collars and harnesses along with light driving horses and some small treasures and new this year - an Amish quilt, craft and furniture sale. Friday the sale will feature draft horses and mules and on Saturday the sale will include saddle horse tack, saddle horses, ponies and mules. Once again the Central Wisconsin Horse Sale will get underway Wednesday morning at 8:30 am at the Clark County Fairgrounds in Neillsville.
