CLARK CO. UNEMPLOYMENT PICTURE SAME AS LAST YEAR

Clark County?s unemployment rate jumped seven-tenths of a percent in June, and remains the same as it was last year at this time.According to new numbers released by the state, Clark County?s unemployment rate in June was 9.2%. That?s the 19th highest rate among the state's 72 counties, and up from 8.5% in May.
Elsewhere in the area, Wood County ranked 35th with a rate of 8.4%, Marathon County ranked 27th with a rate of 8.7%, Jackson County ranked 39th with a rate of 8.2% and Eau Claire County ranked 64th with a rate of 6.7%.
