LASSA'S CAMPAIGN MOVING FORWARD

State Sen. Julie Lassa's (D-St. Point) campaign to capture Dave Obey's congressional seat is gaining momentum.Reports indicate Lassa has hired key staff, aggressively raised money, developed a campaign message and started appearing at parades and dairy breakfasts to meet voters. Some Republicans have said the candidate has been slow out of the gate.
The 7th Congressional district has drawn attention from both parties as a competitive seat that could be key to the control of the House.
