FIRE DESTROYS NEILLSVILLE AREA HOME

A Neillsville-area family has lost everything in a house fire.According to Fire Chief Matt Meyer, his crew was called to the scene of a trailer home fire, just east of Neillsville in the town of Pine Valley. The call came in at around 3:49 p.m.
Firefighters battled the blaze for about 2 ? hours.
The home and its contents were a total loss. 3 dogs perished in the flames.
The Red Cross is assisting the family.
UPDATE: Those wishing to help the family can call them directly at 715-937-1079 or 715-937-1705. The family did not have insurance and are especially concerned about the costs associated with removing the remnants of the home and finding a new place to live.
