PITTSVILLE MAN RUNNING FOR GOVERNOR
Wednesday, December 16th, 2009 -- 12:05 PM
At first blush, a Pittsville man who?s running for Governor doesn?t appear to have the credentials voters look for.Dominic Reinwand, 46, declared his candidacy for the state's highest office. He?s running as a Democrat.
According to a story in the Marshfield NewsHerald, Reinwand's No. 1 priority is cutting the state budget. He says he'll donate half his salary to the state treasury.
But, Reinwand?s resume is lacking. He is currently jobless, he had eight small claims cases filed against him since 1993 and he filed for bankruptcy last year. He has three drunk driving convictions, two counts of resisting or obstructing an officer, one count of disorderly conduct.
Reinwand says he hopes the state's voters will look beyond his record.
