While the economy might be on the mend, there are still some dark clouds in the housing market.A new report shows one of every nine homeowners in Wisconsin was behind on mortgage payments or in foreclosure at the end of September ? that?s a record.
But, Wisconsinites are still better off than residents of most other states. Delinquencies or foreclosures now account for one of every seven loans across the country.
The report found more than 11% of Wisconsin loans and more than 14% of national loans were either in foreclosure or delinquent at the end of the quarter.
After three years of plunging prices, the housing market finally started to rebound this summer.
