Coronavirus Numbers for December 31st

For local coronavirus numbers:

Clark County has seen a total of 2,768 positive cases, an increase of 11 over yesterday.  Of those, 83 are currently active.  Clark County has had 51 people die from the virus.

The state has seen a total of 477,292 positive cases (an increase of 2,755 over the previous day) and 4,818 deaths, an increase of 35 over the previous day.  Of the positive cases, 21,207, or 4%, have been hospitalized.

For our other neighboring counties:

In total, Chippewa has seen 5,839 positive and 65 deaths.

Eau Claire has seen 9,182 positive and 75 deaths,

Jackson has seen 2,361 positive and 17 deaths.

Marathon has seen 11,863 positive and 156 deaths.

Taylor has seen 1,591 positive and 14 deaths

And Wood has seen a total of 5,612 positive cases and 44 deaths.
