STRATFORD REFERENDUM PASSES

An area school district easily approved a spending referendum Tuedsay.On a vote of 772 yes votes and 296 no votes, the Stratford School District approved a $3.7 million referendum.
While most schools are struggling with declining enrollments, Stratford is dealing with overcrowding. The money will go toward building an eight classroom addition to the middle school wing of the 6-12 building.
Other remodeling and improvement projects were also included in the measure.
