RURAL SAFETY DAY HELD
Wednesday, May 6th, 2009 -- 1:19 PM
Over 300 Clark County 3rd graders hopefully became a little safer Wednesday."Today is our rural safety day. We have kids here from all over the county. We're talking about different safety things you encounter on a day-to-day basis," explained Clark County 4H Youth Development Agent Sara Gronski.
The event was held at the Clark County Fairgrounds.
"Tractors and power take-offs, ATV, gun safety, electric safety. Hopefully we have a safer Clark County by the end of the day," she said.
The kids got a kick out of the Clark Electric presentation.
"I believe they were just blowing up a hot dog, showing what electric current traveling through something can do."
