The Obama Administration is saying ?not so fast? to a rule that removed the wolf from Endangered Species Act.The U.S. Department of Interior is taking a second look at the recent decision remove Great Lakes wolves from the endangered list.
The Interior Department says it will decide whether to re-issue the rule, modify it or permanently withdraw it.
Officials last week said Great Lakes and Northern Rockies wolves have recovered from near-extinction and no longer need federal protection.
The state can't manage the population if the wolf remains on the list.
