Regal-Beloit is laying off more area workers.The company is already phasing out their Neillsville operations. Now, the company that makes electric motors and motor equipment is laying off between 60 and 80 workers--about 20% of its workforce--in Black River Falls.
Officials say the layoff is temporary, but could become permanent if the market doesn't improve.
The company blames the global economy for the move. The layoffs will take effect on January 19th.
