(Ted Ehlen, WRN) Car-versus-deer accidents in Wisconsin have remained steady.

That’s the word from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, which says drivers are expected to hit around as many deer this year as they have in the last three years. The agency says the most collisions of that sort happen in October and November, during the breeding phase for deer.

The DOT adds that, though there's been a decrease in deer-vehicle collisions in Wisconsin since 2017, their data show you’re more likely to hit a deer now than you were 15 years ago. They suggest driving slowly at night and scanning roadsides to prevent you from crashing into a deer.
