Following a Nov. 14 ribbon cutting, a new Mid-State Technical College outreach location is now open in the main lobby of Marshfield Clinic in Marshfield.

The on-site location is the result of a partnership between Mid-State and Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS) making it easier for MCHS staff and community guests to explore Mid-State’s career development and advancement opportunities.

In attendance at the ribbon cutting were Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce and Industry Board Chair Mark Vieth and executive director Denise Sonnemann as well as City of Marshfield Mayor Lois TeStrake, Marshfield Clinic Health System President Robert Chaloner and Mid-State President Dr. Shelly Mondeik.

Mid-State at Marshfield Clinic, at 1000 North Oak Avenue in Marshfield, complements Mid-State’s full-service campus located at 2600 West 5th Street. The new location will provide opportunities to explore Mid-State programs, discover workforce and professional development opportunities and learn how to advance an existing degree through the many articulation agreements available.

“Today we get to celebrate our long-standing partnership with Marshfield Clinic and the health system,” said Dr. Shelly Mondeik, Mid-State president. “We are so excited about future opportunities with Marshfield Clinic and look forward to better serving Marshfield employees, including being here for employees looking for upskilling, showcasing the multiple programs at Mid-State and how you can start local.”

According to Robert Chaloner, Marshfield Clinic Health System president, the Marshfield Clinic campus alone employs 5,400 people who will now have better access to information about Mid-State’s career advancement offerings.

“To have this resource here and to be able to partner with Mid-State is absolutely spectacular.” Chaloner said. “It’s just an amazing opportunity for us to train, from very brief technical types of programs all the way up to nursing and other advanced degrees.”

The Mid-State at Marshfield Clinic location is now open to the community Mondays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. All are welcome to stop by to learn more about Mid-State’s many services and learning opportunities. Learn more at mstc.edu/MCHS.
