Clark County Board of Supervisors Approves 2024 County Budget

The Clark County Board of Supervisors approved the 2024 County Budget at their meeting on Thursday.

First, the Board approved a loan of $5,750,000 at a rate of 5.75% for construction and other department capital outlay. They have to do this first so they have the proper numbers for the budget. The Board then approved the County Budget with proposed expenses of $94,889,603 and a proposed revenues of $64,485,636.

A fund balance of $8,228,181 has been applied to reduce the levy and the total indebtedness of the County is $5,340,442. The mill rate for Clark County comes to around $7.14 per thousand dollars evaluation.

The Board also approved the WIC grant, which pays for the program. The amount is $203,099. The Board also approved the 2024 Wisconsin Counties Association membership at a cost of $6,436.

The Board approved the designation of some Committee Fund Accounts, approved the Community Services and Social Services Contract, approved the 2024 Forestry and Parks Annual Work Plan, and approved the cancellation of some outstanding checks coming to $12,533.71, which is credited back to the General Fund.

The Board also approved the County Aid for Bridge and Culvert Construction coming to a total of $106,390.09 split between 15 County Townships. Finally, the approved condolences for the family of former Board Member Noel Olson and several appointments.
