Augusta High School Senior Receives Good Citizen Award From the Daughters of American Revolution

Congratulations to Abigail Boone, daughter of Joe and Amber Boone and senior at Augusta High School, on receiving the Good Citizen Award from the Daughters of the American Revolution.

The DAR is a nonprofit, nonpolitical volunteer women's service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history and securing America's future through better education.

Abigail was chosen to receive this award because she exemplifies the qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism in everything she is involved in. Some of her teachers shared the following: “The leadership that Abby displays is a driving force in our classroom and our school.”

“Her positive attitude is contagious, and…she leads by example in our school by being a kind, respectful, and motivated human being.” and “She has a deep respect for the values and principles that our country stands for and actively engages in activities that promote understanding, appreciation, and respect for our nation’s history and traditions.”  Congratulations again, Abby!  They wish you all the best in your future!

Abigail will have the opportunity to compete for further scholarships through the Daughters of the American Revolution.
